Key Summary

  • Session Statistical Mapping turns historical session behavior into probabilistic levels.
  • It identifies manipulation and distribution zones relative to the session open.
  • Combines price + time statistics for precise execution.
  • Reduces randomness by anchoring trades to historical session tendencies.

What is Session Statistical Mapping?

Session Statistical Mapping is a data-driven approach to intraday trading that analyzes how price historically behaves within specific sessions (e.g., London, New York). Instead of relying on subjective levels, it projects statistically derived price ranges and timing expectations based on past session data.

At its core, Statistical Mapping evaluates how price typically expands from the session open. It calculates average manipulation and distribution ranges, allowing traders to anticipate both adverse movement (drawdown) and favorable expansion.

Combining Price and Time

The key advantage comes from combining price and time. The indicator not only maps expected price levels, but also estimates when those levels are likely to be reached during the session.

This aligns closely with ICT delivery concepts: Manipulation — price moves against the intended direction (stop runs). Distribution — price expands toward the true objective. By mapping these phases statistically, traders gain a framework for anticipating session highs/lows, identifying optimal entry windows, and managing risk relative to expected drawdown.

Trading with a Probabilistic Roadmap

Instead of reacting to price, traders operate with a probabilistic roadmap of the session. This shifts execution from reactive to anticipatory, improving both entry precision and risk management.

Session Statistical Mapping is built on quantitative analysis of historical OHLC data, using repeated session behavior to create probabilistic models for price delivery. This approach reflects how institutional traders analyze orderflow, liquidity, and timing cycles using data rather than subjective levels.
